Soccer
O started soccer today. I think it will be a lot of fun for him. Two of his friends are on the team and the coach was awesome. It was neat to see tonight that he remembered some of the things that he had learned from indoor soccer almost two years ago!
Here is a shot of him waiting on the field. I will get a picture in his uniform this weekend. It is HUGE! I tried on the shirt when we got home. Ugh, just realized I am officially a soccer mom.

First Day of School!
Where did the Summer go?!? How is it possible that we have a first grader!?!
O took the bus for the first time today. He did an awesome job. Dad, Mom and H watched him get on the bus and then met him at school to make sure he got to the right line. There was a little break in his brave face when he saw us, but all in all he did great. He knows several of the kids in his class and his teacher is one of our neighbors. He is going to have a fantastic year in first grade!
H also started has his first day of school today. He is now in the BUTTERFLY class at Pre-School (last year he was a caterpillar). His teacher is one of our favorites at the school and many of the kids from last year are in his class. If he had his way, he would be off to Elementary school with his brother. Not sure if Elementary school is ready for him yet though
Please stand next to your brother and smile…

I actually have nothing else to say. But I think this picture just summed up a day in the life here.
“Wow!” Art Entry
I wrote back at the beginning of the school year that O had been submitted to a state contest for a piece of art he had made. Pretty cool for a kindergartner! I had forgotten to take a picture of it before we submitted it. We got his submission back this month, so here it is. O was given the theme and had to make a drawing to match. He had to title his work and provide an artist statement.

Theme: “Wow!”
Title of Work: Wow! This is so big!
Media: Marker on Canvas
Artist Statement:
It was walking in the woods with my Grandma and we found a big red house over the train tracks and I could say was - “Wow!”
